I just took in a 4 year year old mini pin. She was not cared for very well from her previous owner. Her eyes are running, not excessive but it comes out of the sides in between the nose. Is this serious or maybe allergies. She is fine with everything else.

Get her to the vet, if they didn't care for her properly she probably needs to be brought UTD on IZ's, general health check, wormed, checked for heartworms, etc anyway; your vet can best determine the cause of the eye irritation.
People can take the dog to a vaccine clinic at the humane society or PetSmart; it can be UTD on shots but never have had a doggie "physical" or be in good general health.
sounds like allergies,My dog has that he is on allergy pills .you will have to take her to a vet to get the pills your vet wants to put her on plus the vet will do a health check on her.
It would be a good ideal to put her on a dog food that is of high quality. find one with No corn, wheat ,byproducts
One or both of two things are going on with your pup - allergies (duh) from foods or inhalants causing the eyes to water.
In addition to the allergies - or maybe what's making it seem like she's having allergies - is a condition called entropian. It's common in Min Pins and many other breeds. It's a defect in the lower eyelids, where the lid is turned inward somewhat, causing the eye itself to occlude the lower tear ducts. This prevents the tears from draining down the tear ducts and into the nose as they should, instead they overflow, making it appear that your dog has watery eyes (of course if there are allergies in addition to entropian the condition is even worse).
Entropian is easily corrected with a simple surgery, and allergies are easily remedied after a consultation and exam with your vet to determine the source of the allergen.
well i have a min pin and his eyes arent runny but i know they can get runny if they have allergies i think its best to take the precaution and take her to the vet to get a check up it may be nothing but you will feel better knowing that irs nothing. plus i dont think it cost ne thing for a check up unless they prescribe medicine.
This is a trait in min pins especially the reds. Just wash her face often to keep the smell away. They are a breed that does have alot of skin %26 algeric problems...along with a very sturborn streak...they're great little dogs who will protect you with their lives %26 very loyal, but Please keep the domance order or you have a tazmainan devil in a min-pin body.
Once again the eyes don't sound bad, but you can also rinse with eye drops for dry eyes %26 if you think it's caused by alergies then give just one Bendryl...should clear it up.
