I have a problem with my dog!?

I have another dog. One is female and one is male. Whenever they are alone in my room, my boy dog rolls over on my girl dog and he starts humping her! It's sick! And they continuously do it! What should I do?
Answers:
Dogs hump, both male and female do this. Unless the male does this when the female is IN HEAT, it is not about sex. Some say dominance, some say excitement. It's a habit that can be broken and doesn't take a lot of work if you are consistent. Start by making an Aaah Aaah Aaah sound with a clap of the hands as you approach and if the dog doesn't get off, take him off (or her) and say "NO" firmly.
Repeat until all you have to do is say Aaah and give a clap.
This will stop the behavior if you are consistent.
Neutering and spaying may lessen it a bit. But spayed and neutered dogs do this too, female and male.
To me, it is like going to a restaurant where little kids are left to grab food off plates or yell and scream near your table and parents don't do anything. "well it's just a child's nature". Uh uh, children have to be taught how to behave. I wouldn't want to visit someone where the dogs were constantly humping each other or trying to hump my leg. So you can teach your dog to stop the behavior.
That honey, is nature, are they nutered/spayed, that usually helps stop, but, that is nature.
Are they fixed?
This is why I only own female dogs.
You need to get them fixed. Until then you should keep them seperated as much as possible.
Get the dogs spayed and neutered. That should help.
get them fixed. They will usually try to do it if they know that one of them are going in heat. i dont think their is muck you can do about it except keep an eye on them..
Unless you want more doggies, get him neutered and her spayed, or at least get him neutered or this behaviour won't stop.
try and show that you are domminant of the dogs. try this site it will HELP YOU ALOT!!!

Yes you need to talk to the vet right away some dogs have disorder. Take care of that right away, I had a dog that was huge at and tried humping my son and I could even sleep, I called the pound and had to have him picked. They evaluated him and said he has not active brain cells. I was sad, but at least my family is safe. Because he was becoming strangely aggressive, by the day.
try squirting him with water from a water gun with a Little citronella in it or there are herbal tablet's you can get from your vet to help with his "erges" they work and are safe with out side affects ,, dog's are worse with this during warmer mths sorry cant remember what they are called very small so u can just mix in with food.. he may also be doing it because he thinks he is top dog dog often do this as a show of power
good luck
~All of my dogs are "fixed" and they still try that once in a while, Spaying/Nuetering can help but not always. The best thing you can do is continue to take them off one another and put the one doing the humping in a cage or seperate area for a few minutes make sure you do this everytime so they (he) learns he is not to do it. **This is only a temporary fix**
Never ever leave them alone together!!

~If they are not "fixed" yet please get them done as soon as possible because it only takes your eyes of them once for him to get her %26 you to end up with unwanted pups.

Good Luck
Live with it, male %26 female dogs hump, they hump males, females, people legs, cats, your couch. I have never seen one that started doing it stop even when they got older, maybe just not as often. It does not seem to matter if they are spayed or neutered, it may help if they are young when they are fixed but dogs that are fixed also do it. It is an instinct they are born with for reproduction purposes.
it's natural for them to behave like this. remember, they are dogs, not human. we can control our "passion" but they can't.
maybe you can try to teach him. Say"no!" to him whenever you see such behaviour.
if not, then you will have to get him or her off the breeding track.
get them spayed and neutered. this will stop very quickly.
Hmmm...if the female is in heat, you might want to put a sanitary diaper on her. lol I know it sounds stupid but they actually have them at PetSmart. If anything...and if you don't want pups...then get them spayed and neutered.
It's a sign of dominance, not sex. You need to be the dominant one in the house.
