I have two shih tzu's a male and female I saw them mating.But they are brother and sister what do i do?

get them seperated and get them to the vet and get them fixed immediately. they can not i say can not have a littler it will be unhealthy and have deformities. not to get onto your case of anything but you knew they are brother and sister and knew the female would go into heat it was your responsibilty to had them fixed already. you were just irresponsible and asking for trouble. now all you can do is wait and take care of the concequences. shame shame

Depending on their age and if your female was in heat then you may have pups on the way. You can get your females sprayed right away to stop the pregnancy and then you will not have to worry about any further pups.

There is not much you can do except seperate hope mabye the mating didn't take and reduce the litter size in the event that they have only mated once... you never know if they mated before un observed so you more than likely have a litter on the way. I am not going to rant on how irresponsable this was but I am going to mention it.

Why aren't at least one of them fixed? You can't have a male and female together and expect them not to mate. That is just asking for trouble.

u should separate
them until the female is threw being in heat or u should buy another male put them two together and separate the brother if the female gets pregnant she has a chance of getting hurt because the babies would be incest which could cause problems with the mother when giving birth or after giving birth this was not ur fault cause the females eventually come in heat but if u decide to just separate the male u should keep him as far as possible from the female because he can chew through doors its happened to me they Will do anything trust me or you could get one of them fixed

the vet can give your female dog an injection that will stop the pregnancy and i suggest that you have at least the male castrated and then you will stop the problem in the future but it would be best to have both dogs neutered and that way you will sort out both your problems but remember in breeding happens all the time this is how breeders keep the lines pure and that is why most breeds have so many genetic faults,its a shame that most people just keep harping on about the so called designer dog at least they are not in bred for obtaining a dog that can win best of breed most hybrid dog owners have their dogs for pets and not just to win a competition

Why do you have siblings living together while they're still intact AND with the female on heat? Go and SPAY the girl and NEUTER the boy TOMORROW and stop being so irresponsible.

At the very least, have the female neutered as soon as possible. If she is pregnant, it will abort the puppies but they would, most likely, have been unhealthy anyway.

Get at least the female fixed immediately. If you are squeamish about abortion, ask the vet to not tell you if she was pregnant.

Inbreeding can bring out genetic problems and is discouraged.
