I have a six mo. old m. schnauzer and I was wondering if now was a good time to get his hair fully groomed?

Answers:
Yes!
Yes.
Dogs should start getting use to the grooming process at an early age (8-12weeks)
The younger the better. Good idea.
Dogs require regular grooming and some require a partial groom and others , like your Schnauzer require a full groom. Despite the very best efforts of most grooming professionals to make the customer very comfortable and relaxed, it tends to be a stress maker, especially for a young dog. Get your Schnauzer to the groomer so that he becomes acquainted with the routine and the people he will see there. Start now, even if he just needs a bath, blow dry, brush-out, nail's filed and trimmed and his ears cleaned. Do your homework and find a good groomer. A groomer is a personal choice just like choosing a vet. All the best!
Yes, the sooner the better so he can get used to it.
definately
You should have been having him groomed from the time that you got him. It could have been part of his socialization, learning about the groomer and the noises in the shop. But...better late than never. Give a groomer a call, either someone who has been recommended to you or someone you think that you would like to test. Start this week. Don't worry about style because every groomer does a variation of the proper show style for Schnauzers. And, it looks absolutely adorable on the younger ones.
