I have a minature pincher that's a little over 2 months and it has been impossible to fully potty train her!

No matter what I do she uses her potty pads most of the time but then just randomly she pottys on the floor. Does any one have any advice how I can fully potty train her!! Please help!!

It can be frustrating, but all dogs are different, and she'll get the hang of it soon.Try to spend as much time with providing positive reinforcement when she does go potty in the desired location. I think potty pads may make it more difficult, unless they are always going to be your desired location for where she goes (I didn't know if perhaps you live in an apartment, or if you're in a house and taking her out to the yard too). At any rate, it can be hard to make a switch from one to the other later on . . .

Make sure you're always using the same commands (with mine, I have used "go potty" %26 "good potty"). Make sure you lead your dog to the toileting area, and tell them to go potty in a nice, but firm tone, repeating it until she goes. Once she goes, praise her and give her a small treat (natural treats are best, of course . . . and just a tiny piece will do). I found treats helped to focus my dog's attention, and once she got the hang of going on command, I slowly stopped using them, and just gave her a nice pat and continued with the verbal praise.

Regardless, try to always have a set feeding schedule, so that you know when your dog will go (it really saves on random messes). Also, never scold your dog for going in the wrong spot, unless you catch her in the act. If this happens, tell her firmly "bad potty" and put her in the desired spot . . . once she goes there, tell her "good potty." Spend as much time as you can now with potty training, as it will speed up the process.

Remember, all dogs are different, but she'll get it eventually. Just be patient. Her bladder is growing, and her ability to have control will improve, she'll get better at this as she develops. Best of luck to you!
Good site for that: http://us.iams.com/iams/en_us/jsp/iams_p...
Just keep on doing what you are doing. She is only 2 months old. Our puppy is 3 months old and he is finally getting the hang of it. So keep on teaching her. She may need another 2 weeks or so to fully learn.

Also make sure that if she does have an accident you clean right away and do it well.
Do you have to use pads with her, or can you train her to go outdoors? Potty pads are a mess and I've never seen anyone who uses them very happy with the result. It seems as though no matter what you do to secure the pad, the potty mess will end up on the floor - and then, the dog will smell that and pee or poop there again. This is very confusing to the dog.
Use a crate to teach your dog clearly where to potty.
Never, ever punish your dog for making a mistake. Follow the directions here:

and remember, the key to your dog's success is your consistency!
Hello, not impossible, just takes time - throw away the potty pads - just a waste really, specially with littler dogs, sometimes they never completely potty train, most are spoiled %26 hate to go out in the rain..LOL..you can try a crate or make a DOGGIE space, you will only need a small one, not expensive..all she needs is room to turn, stand %26 stretch ..she has to be on a feeding schedule of 2 or 3 times a day - food %26 water, 15 minutes down, then up if she don't eat..they usually potty after 20 - 30 minutes of eating or after a good play..then you take her out to the potty place for 15 minutes, if she don't go, then it's crate or pen time, try again in 30 minutes, if she goes, lots of loving, googoo praise ..LOL, if she has an accident in the house..gently %26 nicely take it %26 her to the potty place..it's all about patience %26 repetitiveness..Take Care :)
are you not able to take her outside to potty? Is that why you are using the pads?

Personally, I hate potty pads, I think it confused them and makes it 100X harder to potty train.

If that is your only option, than make sure you clean the carpet she has peed on thoughly to get any remaining smell out, or it will attract her back to that spot.

Fence her into the kitchen or bathroom somwhere with tile floor, and place pads in there. Make a fuss everytime she uses them and give her a treat. It takes awhile, and at 8/9wks she is still very young and she will have accidents, it doesnt happen overnight. But just to patient-she will get it.

If you have access to a yard then I suggest trying housetraining so she will potty outside everytime, that will also take a lot of work-but is less confusing than the pads. (You can't pee on THIS spot, but you CAN pee on THIS spot- way more confusing than..."i need to leave the house/den to potty and potty in the grass")

Take her out frequently, especially after play sessions and feeding time. Spend atleast 20mins outside, make a fuss whenever she goes. Always bring her out the same door to potty and place her in the same spot on the lawn. Puppies this young are too little to 'ask' to go out-so watch for signs.

Ex: our 12wk lab runs into the hallway when she is going to pee, we learned that and whenever she heads that way we call her, and she will come to the door to go outside.

Good luck, be patient!
A Pincher is very had to train. It took ours a year. I would recommend Man's Best Friend. You get to be with your dog and train to the sound of your voice. I do not know the rates where you are. Check mans-best-friend.com for rates in your state.
The reason is has been impossible to potty train her is that she is physically incapable of restraining herself. Dogs don't develop the muscle strength to control their elimination longer than a couple of minutes until they are at least four months old. Most dogs are not housebroken until they are about one - small dogs often take even longer. You have a completely normal puppy.

Jenn and Jeun gave good info on the housetraining process.
