I need help with a house broken dog that still pees in the house?

I have a housetrained dog that still pees in the house. Lately, my family and I kept finding dry pee stains on various places in the house. Theyre not full blown pee puddles, but mainly lines of pee. He also trickles a little when he feels scared. How do we deal with this problem, and how do we fix it??? Also, how do we punish him for it. We dont crate him during the night.
Answers:
He's NOT housebroken. Crate him at night and when you can't watch him. Get him neutered.

PEE IS PEE!
he doesnt sound house trained.crate him at night.if its nerves then that will be hard to stop.check with vet that its not infection first tho.dont punish him just praise when he is clean ignore him when he messes just quickly clean up while you ignore him that is punishment for a dog
It doesn't sound like your dog is intentionally urinating in the house, so punishment should not be considered for an animal that doesn't mean to commit the actio it has preformed. You should call a vet and explain the problem to him, it may be something simple, or it may need to be examined.
A house trained dog does not pee in the house. First a trip to the Vet to check for medical problems. Because you are finding dry pee stains the dog needs to be confined. There are two ways to do this. First, have him on a leash attached to your waist when you can watch him. Second, in a crate when you cannot. For trickles when he is scared, obedience training works wonders. Train him to sit %26 then come to you. If it is when friends visit, confine him when they first arrive and then bring him in when the are sitting down. Again he should be on leash. Instead of people aproaching the dog, allow him to make the first contact.
If you don't catch him peeing at the exact time, you shouldn't punish them. And if you do simply tell him no and take him outside. If he is house trained then it could be another problem. My puppy is still learning to go outside and not inside be we noticed that she couldn't hold it like she use to and was squatting to pee several times in a matter of a minute. Turned out she had a urinary tract infection.
There are trainers out there willing and able to help with potty training don't know how much they would cost though.
Good luck
