A Boxer is an excellent breed. They are known to be very good with children. But if you get as a puppy they are very rambunctious so maybe try a rescue group. Also are good watch dogs..but they cant be kept outside they love to be with you!
i raise golden retreivers and they are wonderful with kids.
a golden lab is family friendly also a blacklad with great dane mix was a great choice for me
golden retrivers are good dogs or labs boxers are good if you have alot of room and a yard my friend had one he was a mush stupid but a mush and very protective of the family he was very active and loved to run around but if you do get a dog make sure he/she is healthy if your getting a pure bread make sure you get the papers and they are authentic also if you want to mate him/her make sure there mate is a pure bread too or if you dont care about that fine happy dog hunting
golden retrievers. they are so loyal and mellow. they are great family pets.
I like the mix breeds. We have two dogs that are mixed, they are low maintenance. The 7 year old is a German shepherd/lab mixed. Our year old dog we got @ 8 weeks old has German shepherd/hound dog mixed. They are both great dogs.
There is more to it than just getting a dog that is good with kids. Google "dog breeds" and you can fill out a questionaire to help you find the perfect dog. If you don't want to walk a dog alot, because you work, if you don't want dog hair all over the house due to shedding, etc. you can answer these questions and they will direct you to as many dogs fit your criteria.
How about a mixed breed from a shelter ?
Any dog would be good dog as long as properly trained!
there are plenty of good breeds for a family try going to the lo
cal animal shelter and pick one that every body likes
We have an Alaskan Malamute. We also have two children and I have a home daycare. Nikki is great with the kids and with us. They want alot of attention and are playful and loving, but so are all dogs. Growing up we had a golden lab and she was also wonderful.
I would reccommend a boston terrier. They are great with kids, and are very intelligent .
Hi!! I have a one year old Boston Terrier.. He is the perfect little dog. He loves to play, he's great with kids and he gets along well with other pets. Boston Terriers are very smart and they learn very quickly! Zakk is a year old and I've heard him bark three times at the most.. They make wonderful pets! My boyfriend and I love them so much, that we thought about breeding them. Our Zakk isn't a standard size but more like a mini.. He weighs 13lbs.. So, he's not very big. I've done alot of research on the breed.. If you have any questions or would like to see pictures.. Feel free to e-mail me!

Golden retreivers are great with kids just watch out for size we had an 80 lb one and it would get under the table sleep and when it woke up it was so tall it lifted the table off its legs and carried it! but if your kids do 4-H wiht him then get one with a brown nose b/c it is a fault if it is pink but if it is pink and he's just the family dog it will be fine
plentyof good dogs needing homes at animal shelters maybe just go for a look and see how you feel truley its the best feeling giving one of those guys a home and soo rewarding it almost like they know you saved them from a possible tragic ending..
Save a life and go to the pound or the humane society.
Spend some time there getting to know the dogs, doesn't have to be a specific breed, just find one that is sweet and that you can relate to. Save a life and adopt, your children and you will be thrilled and so will the little dog that you saved. Good luck!
I really like my Shih tzu, she is really good with with my eight year old son, love to play, pretty hyper at times hough. They are very affectionate lap dogs when not running in circles. Cut too.
Weimaraner as companions or labradoodles they are both good with children.
