I need help quickly about a 3 day old pup with no mother?

We took in a female bull dog of some kind %26 little did we know it was pregnant. We know nothing about bulldogs %26 their pups. She had 10 puppies %26 within 3 days she has killed 9 by smothering them. We now need to feed this 1 as we are too scared to give it back to her. What do we feed it %26 where do you get it %26 how many times a day do you feed it?
Answers:
Go straight to the vet and they will help you with finding the right formula and show you how to feed it properly because your not going to be able to do this without a vets help.
Good Luck. :-)
Sorry for the loss...might be help if you held the mom down while the puppy took a meal, research is pretty easy to find, i think its every 2hrs. Just dont give up, sorry im not more help
Honestly you can't. The best way to put it out of its misery is to put it in the freezer. (I know it sounds wrong). The dog will die slowly and painfully due to malnutrition.
Go to the vet asap!!!
Vets Offices have puppy milk similar to a babies milk. They should be able to help you out.
You can buy milk substitute at animal supply stores.not sure where you are, so not sure of time. They carry some products at Walmart or Target. You will have to feed it with a dropper, which should come with the milk product. Get the baby to the vet first thing tomorrow.
Do not give it back. Try to get to an emergency vet tonight or your regular vet first thing in the morning. It needs formula bottle fed every 2-3 hours at this age. You can probably get the supplies at petsmart, but you need to know how much etc and the vet will be able to weigh the dog and tell you exactly how much, how often and how to do it. Also use a damp towel to wipe it clean after it goes to the bathroom - mom's tongue usually does this. Call the vet and see if they have an emergency number. They may give you free info over the phone. It may not survive until morning. Moms usually kill the pups if they can't produce milk to feed them, so this one may not have eaten yet. Keep him warm by letting him sleep on your chest etc. Not a good situation, but you can keep this baby alive with a lot of work.
Go to your nearest specialized pet store or vet and ask them for specialized diets. In the beginning it will be milk or a substitute you can find at the pet store. Feedings will probably be every 2-3 hours for a while. Use an eyedropper or feeding bottle that can be purchased at a pet store. (Use your finger until you can get to the pet store.)

When my mother found a week old kitten I fed it boiled white rice blended into whole milk. Milk for the vitamins, rice for substance. If you do this make sure its liquidy in the beginning and gradually thicken it.

Keep in mind that you will have to use a warm wet paper towel to get the puppy to urinate and poop properly. (Just rub its anus approx 30 mins after feeds so that it doesnt get constipated or damage its intestines.) I know this sounds sick but its true.

You can start on wet dog food around 2 or 2.5 months an dry food by 3 months.

Good Luck!
two different things...
first one and the most valuable...the pup needs her mothers milk to grow healthy and strong...pups should feed every two hours...what you may want to try is letting the pup nurse supervised...then take the pup away...
second go to your nearest pet store and purchase milk for the pup...ask a store associate they can help you

i had a similar problem with a newborn animal...the pet store showed me about some milk available for newborn animals that have no access to their mothers milk...

hope this helps..
go to the pet store and get replacement milk. feed it every 2 hours. it will be hard at first but the dog will catch on. keep it a heating pad, puppies must be kept at 70degrees. make sure after every feeding you wipe a wet cotton ball over it's Private parts (booth of them) other wise the puppy will not go to the bathroom and die. good luck i had to hand raise a litter of 10 because the mom never got milk, i would rather have twins multiplied by 3
Any Wal-Mart or Farm %26 Home store will have the necesarry materials for a pup. You'll need a puppy bottle or two, and lots of formula. Get a box lined with towels and possibly puppy pads over them for easier cleanup. Feeding instructions will be on the formula container, for age and weight, and how often they should be fed.

Get there ASAP, cuz he's probably hungry.

And if he doesn't respond to a bottle feeding at all, wait a while and try again. If still no response, take him to a vet or your local ASPCA and they'll care for him.

Hope that helps.

^_^
If I were in this situation I would give it warm goats milk with an eye dropper because it is to little to drink from a bowl. And I would say feed it as many times as you can because the pup is really little.
Visit vet,
get "formula",
feed every two hours.

Rub urethra exit and anal area after meal with a tissue to enable emptying of bladder and bowel.

You need somebody to SHOW you how to do all this properly.

You are racing against time.

Good luck. If you do manage to save the pup, it will be a very rewarding experience, and the pup will bond to you like glue.

Do not give the pup back to it's mother. Usually when a mother starts killing her young it usually means there is a problem with the puppies. I suggest you take it in to the vet right away. You make get some puppy milk at a store and it could tell you how many times to feed it. But I would talk to the vet.
you could try bottle feeding with dry milk or pet milk id say she wasnt ready to take care of them... you could help her out by watching it feed then place it out of harms way for a few days... id try leting her feed it and removing after that would be the best... but any milk might work . good luck
Why don't you let the mother feed the puppy every 2 hours and then remove the pup from the mother in between meals. This would be a much better idea and more healthy for the pup. B itches will lay on their pups sometimes and that is why it is important to stay with the mother and the litter for the first week or 2 so that you can watch over and make sure it doesn't happen.
Give the puppy back to the mother under supervision only.
How do you know she suffocated them? They may have died from fading puppy syndrome or something else. I am sure you did not sit there and watch her smother 9 pups so how do you know they were suffocated? There could be something else going on here. Take the mother and the pup to the vet for a check up.
Be sure to check the mothers temperature a few times a day to make sure infection is not brewing which could mean mastitis or retained puppy or placenta both of which could kill her and also cause her milk to be bad which could be another reason why all the pups died.
There are a number of reasons this might have happened. I am having a hard time believing that she laid on 9 pups.
Get Milk Replace with Collostrum. I believe WalMart carries it.

If you can sit with the momma dog while the pup nurses ocassionally, that would be great for the pup. In between you can bottle feed.

50/50 water and goat's milk (found in the grocery store near the evaporated milk) can be used also.

Newborns need to nurse/eat every 2 hours! Call your local emergency (after hours) vet, they might be able to advise as to how much they might eat per feeding.

You will need to stimulate the pup to pee and poop with a warm wet cotton ball, otherwise they can get sickly.
