I just fed my dog Ol'Roy High Performance Nutrition dogfood shortly after she vomited and than got disoriented

and start foaming at the mouth. Apparenly a small seizure. This was a new bag of dry dogfood and I mixed the new with what I usually buy, Ol'Roy Lam and Rice. Does anyone know what the symtoms are when a dog eats a bad dogfood
Answers:
#1: Take your dog to the vet Immediately. NOW. Do not wait.

#2: Old Roy is a very poor quality food. Their High Performance blend is full of filler and vegetable based protein sources that are difficult for your dog to digest. Old Roy food in general is low grade with very little nutrition. Old Roy dry food is also one of the foods on the recall list

#3: Do NOT feed your dog that food again, once your pet gets back from the vet. Talk to your vet about better quality pet food.

#4: I would recommend Iams, Eukanuba, Purina Pro Plan, Natural Balance, Blue Buffalo food.

Do NOT feed your dog Puppy Chow/Dog Chow, Beneful, Science Diet, Nutro max and DEFINITELY No Alpo, Mighty Dog, Old Roy, Generic grocery store food or bulk cheap dog food.
With all the pet food recalls out there, who knows. I would say a small seizure is definately a sign tho. Take her to a vet ASAP and dispose of the old food.
Take her to a vet, and bring a sample of both dogfoods.
This could be just a case of bad timing...in other words, the fact that you started her on new food may have nothing to do with, if in fact it was, a seizure. Usually your dog will have diarrhea, but will not vomit, when switching foods. Consult with your local vet if this happens again.
Ol Roy is bad in many ways, no nutrition, it is recalled all the time due to salmonella poisoning...

The recent recall tho, symptoms were like lethargy, excessive water drinking, excessive urination... Maybe something else.. Seems to me maybe vomiting.. But I am not positive on that one.
Take your dog to the vet immediately.
Old Roy is like feeding your dog cedar chips mixed with poop and garbage. It is crap.
Go the the vet now! I'll bet it's not the food, though that is probably the lowest quality food you can buy. Something is definitely wrong though. Upgrade your food if you want your dog to live a long healthy life though.
NEVER FEED OL'ROY EVER!!
That is the worst possible food to feed your pet. It may be cheap but it has nothing good for your pet it is not healthy at all.Plus it is on the recall list so I would take your dog to your vet because she could be having an reaction to the food
I really don't think your dog had problems with the food??
It sounds like it could of been a seizure or a slight stroke?
Watch her and if she has any more symptoms go see the Vet. Usually dogs will not throw up with a seizure though!!

Ol'Roy did have one of their brands recalled?? I am not really crazy with that brand of food! I feed my dog Purina Pro Plan rice and chicken. You can buy this at Wal-Mart too.

Never can be to safe take your Dog to the Vet if you see any other symptoms!!!

Good Luck
Please take your dog to the vet immediately. Furthermore, Ol' Roy has got to be one of the worst, if not the worst food you can feed your dog. Not only is it loaded w/cheap fillers like brewer's rice (floor sweepings), and uses 4D animals (deceased, decaying) rendered meats, is loaded w/allergens such as corn, soy, %26 wheat products, but its also preserved with BHA a cancer-causing chemical. Do the reasearch, it is horrible! Don't forget to check your dog's treats too!

Here's a link to the website of the people I order my dog food from with a wonderful article you can print which tells you the ingredients to beware of: https://www.petmealsonwheels.com/display...

Let us know how she's doing and know she's in our prayers
