I just need to know how long till I can wash my dog after I give him frontline?
Answers:
According to the Frontline site: For maximum effectiveness of frontline, do not bathe your dog or cat three days before or three days after applying. > http://www.discountpetmedicines.com/fron...
My vet said 3 days.
did you read the instructions? depends on size of the dog, lengh of the coat. i suggest you scrambl thru the bin and read the instructions
Doesn't it tell you on the packaging ?
48 hours is the minimum amount of time to wait. I use Frontline on my dogs also.
i think it's 24 hours, but it should say on the instructions inside the box. if not, call your vet.
it does tell you on the package, i always leave mine 48 hours.
give it about 2wks that shud be enuff time i use it o my 7mnth pup and i ussually wait 2/3 wks b4 i bath her
should be on the label? Ring your vets
If it is the spot on Frontline normal 3/4 days and if it is the spray all over Fronline normal best for 7 days.
Hope this helps
Normally it's best to bath your dog throughly before applying frontline and leave it for three days without washing your dog again.
Another option is to get the flee collar to prevent flees. It is as good as frontline and much cheaper compare to frontline.
When using frontline, you can not have washed a dog for 48 hrs before and for 48 hrs after application. Now the thing is it has nothing to do with the water. If your dog is that stinky, after a few hours, you can rinse your dog off, but you can not use any shampoos. The reason for this actually has nothing to do with the frontline at all, rather the fact that frontline is placed only on one spot on a dog, usually on the back of the shoulder blades, and then is carried to the rest of the dogs body by the oil in their skin and hair. Now if you give them a little rinse off bath, you have just eliminated the oil in the hair, but not the oil in the skin. So you will be fine, however, using shampoo will eliminate the oil in the skin as well and the frontline will not be able to spread to the rest of the dog. By the way, I would recommend Advantix as it also protects against mesquitoes
i use frontline for my westie and it says on the box 48hrs but i usually wait one more day.
