she shares the house with her brother who came from the same litter, an older dog, and 2 kids.

I breed Chihuahua's and I own #8. Get a spray bottle, and fill it with plain water. Whenever she disobeys you, just give her a couple of squirts, and say NO! I used to do that with my dogs, and now all I have to do is pick up the squirt bottle, and show it to them and they turn into little angels. I don't even have to do that anymore.
i have a chihuahua, too. he only bites when he feels cornered, scared, or has a bone. You need to tell her who is boss. when she growls, yell at her to stop. show her it will not be accepted. if she bites. say no loudly, and put her in her cage.
yess you can to break a dog you need to tell her whos boss. i kno this sounds very werid but to make a dog kno your the owner not him bite him behined his right ear for one seccond. not hard but to make him squeel. this dont mean bite him till he bleeds and if this dont work dont do it again! trust me and also email me l8ter for more info!
She sounds like a fear biter. She bites or growls when she feels threatened. She probably doesnt know how to take u just yet. U will have to earn her respect and trust and vice versa.
It may take some time since she is older, but it will happen eventually.
Try buying a book to help out with teaching an older dog discipline.
I agree you have to teach her who's boss. If you don't her behavior will never change. HAYYLEYYxboom is right. I bit my dog when she bit me. She looked at me like I was crazy, and has never done it again.

The three male dogs fall all over themselves in an effort to be the one to reach her first, but end up arriving in front of her at the same time.
The males are speechless before her beauty, slobbering on themselves and hoping for just a glance from her in return.
Aware of her charms and her obvious effect on the three suitors, she decides to be kind and tells them, "The first one who can use the words 'liver' and 'cheese' together in an imaginative, intelligent sentence can go out with me."
The sturdy, muscular black Lab speaks up quickly and says, "I love liver and cheese."
"Oh, how childish," said the Girl Poodle. "That shows no imagination or intelligence whatsoever."
She turns to the tall, s hiny Golden Retriever and says "How well can you do?"
"Um. I HATE liver and cheese," blurts the Golden Retriever.
"My, my," said the Poodle. "I guess it's hopeless. That's just as dumb as the Lab's sentence."

Oh, very loving, I don't think. If you care about your kids, take the animal to classes and get it trained, otherwise this will just get worse.
